The 51-year-old Carina man’s body was located in a culvert on Degen Road at about12.50pm yesterday.

A police media spokesman said investigators weresatisfied nothird personwas involved in the incident.

The womanis expected to appear in Brisbane Magistrate’s Court on Monday.

Police have declined to release the man’sname at this time.

11am:Police are continuing their investigations into the suspicious death of a Brisbane man, whose body was found yesterday in Degen Road,Capalaba.

Forensics officers wereat the scene on Sunday.

A roadblock was also in place on Mount Cotton Road, between Degen Road and just north ofCapalaba Police Station,on Sunday morningwhile SES crews conducteda roadside and bushland search for any evidence or leads that could assist police.

At 10.30am, BaysideCrime Group Detective Inspector Owen Elloy said the roadblock would be in place until the search concluded.

Det. Insp. Elloyurged anyone with information about the incidenttocontact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

The man’sname has not been released at this time.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man’s body was found in a culvert onDegen Road, Capalaba onSaturday, December 5.

Bayside CrimeGroup Detective Inspector Owen Elloy said a couple living in Degen Road found the man’s body at about 12.50pm.

“The male person obviously met his demise with violence,” Det. Insp. Elloy said.

He said homicide squad detectives from Cleveland CIB were conducting investigations and he urged anyone with information or who saw any suspicious activity in the greater Degen Road or Capalaba area to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Police have identified the man as a Brisbane resident, but his name has not been released at this time.
